Wow. I am like an updating machine lately! I should always go away on vacation so I can update this thing more! Heh, I wish!!

So I'm back in London now. I arrived back on Wednesday. So now my vacation is more than half over, and I only have four more days left before I have to go home. :(  So sad...

Prague was wicked awesome. I had so much fun. Probably because I got to meet some really awesome people and hang out with them! As a city I enjoyed Prague, but I think I liked Berlin a bit better. More recent history (which I'm into a lot more) less Medieval. But everywhere in Prague is beautiful. So on my first full day there I went over to the Old Jewish Quarter to walk around. There's a really old cemetery that is packed to the gills with really old tombstones, the oldest one dates back to the 1400s (and then goes up to the 1700s). When I left the cemetery there's a place to wash your hands (which is a Jewish custom) and so I did (habits die hard) but people kept giving me weird looks. It was funny. There's a bunch of old Synagogues which you can walk through (after you pay the admission fee of course) and they've all been set up as museums, so I wandered through them. Then I walked around some more, wandered wandered wandered, found some lunch, wandered some more. I went back to the hostel to take a nap and relax. For dinner I went out with the American guy from my room and the three Brazilians (two girls, one guy) also from my room. We went to some restaurant (which was only okay) and then we decided to go to a club. I wasn't super keen on that (I'm really not a club person) but I figured I should go out like that once while I'm away. SO we went to apoparently the "biggest club in Eastern Europe" however since it was a Monday night, it was rather dead. We had a shot of absinthe (didn't make me super drunk though - which kind of sucked) and then hit the dance floor. There's 5 levels to this club, but only two were open that night. One with more regualr club music, and one with techno-dance music. We tended to stick to the techno floor which got annoying, but meh, it was fun for awhile. By 1:30am I had had enough and went back to the hostel by myself. I walked back, which may have not been the smartest thing to do, but I'm nothing happened, and clearly I'm still alive today.

The next day I went up to the Prague Castle. Which is a super long UPHILL walk. Omg it was tiring. But great views from the top of it. It was really beautiful too, but everything starts to look the same after awhile. In the afternoon I wandered some more, did a little bit of shopping and then again went out with the people from my room. That night since most of us were leaving the next morning (except the American) we decided to stay close to home and went to the Mexican place (Banditos) across the street. It was fabulous. I love Mexican food at any time, and they had excellent Mexican food. Yum! Also their beer is really cheap (beer is cheaper than water in Prague) and I liked the beer they have on tap there. It was Budweiser (the Czech brand - not to be confused with the American brand) Budvar. I have to see if I can get it at home anywhere, because yum! It was my type of beer!! After dinner, everyone else went to a bar, but I was tired and went back to the hostel to sleep.

The next morning I woke up and got a plane back to London, via Zurich, flying with Swiss Air. Both my flights into and out of London were great (notwithstanding the cancelled flight - but that wasn't the airline's fault). They treat you so well on these real airlines. Swiss air gave us tons of really good chocolate and you can even drink for free (beer and wine) on these short flights. I didn't, I had Coca Cola Light (European Diet Coke - but not quite as good) but I could have had wine). Anyways, so I arrived back at Hilary's in the evening, we ate dinner together and then chatted.

Yesterday I went shopping!! Yay! I got a ton of stuff. New jeans (this way I avoided doing laundry) from Marks and Spencers, some tops from Dorothy Perkins and a spring jacket from H&M. Oh and some new books of course! I wandered around a bit. Oh and I managed to score a ticket to see Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat that evening (it was sold out every other night - I was lucky I got my ticket!) The show was FANTASTIC. Amazing. I am so glad I got to go. And I had an amazing seat. Second row in the first balconey, but it was on the aisle and there was no one in front of me so I could stretch out. I couldn't see one little corner of the stage, but it was no big deal. And because of that "restricted view" I saved £10 off the price of the ticket, so it was only £35, not £45. And it was worth every penny. So good! Lee Mead is fabulous as Joseph, and the whole cast was great!

Today I slept in and eventually made my way to the British Museum. Which was PACKED. And not all school groups either, lots of tourists. I walked around there for a bit, saw lots. Tonight I'm meeting an old friend from high school (who lives here now). It should be fun to catch up!

Alright, more later!!
